Default Front Shocks - Who Needs Them?

In an attempt to quiet the squeaks on my DS before hunting season, I removed the front shocks to inspect the bushings and see if they still had some dampening ability. I have a lift and wondered how the cart would react without the shocks. Surprisingly, I could not tell any difference other than it eliminated some squeaking. I did the same test with the rear shocks a year or so ago and it was much more noticeable. Can anyone add any pros or cons by not having front shocks. This cart used 99% of the time off road.

They dampen the body against the spring. I think over time you'll notice a difference and put them back on but if you're only creeping with your cart and no high speed runs, you may be fine without them.

I do mainly creep (I like the term stealth) around. They appear to be original and still have resistance. If I had a lot of hard pan washboard trails then I would absolutely run with them but I have a soft sandy loom soil type on my hunting lease so I'm going to test in the field and the jury will decide. Thanks!

They do make a big difference on road. It’s pretty obvious when they wear out you can feel the wheel bounce off the pavement.
Going slow, you probably won’t notice any difference, and you may get better articulation without them, but be careful because not having them to act as a bump stop you can easily bottom out the frame or break the leaf spring.
