Default Alltrax controller - no status light

I am building a new to me 1996 CC DS stretched. I have ripped out everything electrically and started fresh with parts from Scottyb. I have everything wired up according to the schematic but i am not getting any status lights on the controller. when i turn the KSI on i am hearing a click so something is happening. however, if i plug in my laptop with the SR toolkit the status light blinks 3 times over and over again.

I have 6 8v Trojans that are less than a year old and they are registering ~52v across the pack. what i find odd is that I am only seeing 49v on the large lugs of the solenoid and 0v on the small terminals regardless of the KSI position.

any direction on what to check next? i wanted to confirm i have everything connected right before calling Alltrax

for reference here is what i have
SR-48500
SW202 reversing contactor
SS pedal conversion
MZJ400 solenoid

thanks
Jason

Not sure anything should click until the pedal is depressed.
If a solenoid or SW202 clicks with the key then it can be left ON when the cart is not in use and will burn out.
Back to square 1.

3 grn blinks indicates 0-5v throttle. Is this a conversion from resistor coil you are installing?

hmmm, ok, i must have something mis-wired then bc there is definitely an audible click when i turn the key to on. and then there is another click when i depress the pedal.

yes i have converted from the V-glide and resistor coils which i have completely pulled out and started with a clean slate.

Any chance you can tell us what is clicking with the key and what is clicking with the pedal?
It sounds like you are close to getting it going.

Also if you put the F&R in neutral does the click with the key stop?

Look at your wiring diagram.
The key switch wire goes to the pedal input fuse link.

i just checked.

when turning the key on, both the MZJ400 solenoid and the reversing contactor are clicking/engaging (as best as i can tell).
switching the FNR switch between F, N, and R does engage respectively when pressing the pedal.

i do have the key switch wired into the pedal wiring (fused) as shown in the diagram.

i took a couple of pictures, let me add them here and see if it helps.

The first thing that I see is you don't have pos. and neg. hooked to the controller at J1 red and black, hence no power to the controller.

There is a yellow wire on the small solenoid + terminal. Where is this yellow wire going? The install diagram shows this wire going to the controller J1 red, this should power up the solenoid and the controller when the pedal is depressed.

Just going by the wiring schematic in the instructions it lists using J1 black or B1 to ground the controller so i believe this is correct.

I do not, however, have the positive side connected which looks to be what i missed. After reading back through it makes sense. When i connect the FN1 controller to the J1 red connector, will it receive power? or will i need to splice in a jumper to the solenoid +

The yellow wire goes to the FNR switch to both of the center posts

Edit: ok iconnected the controller J1 red to the positive side of the solenoid and i am actually getting motor movement forward and reverse, however, i am still not seeing a status light
