You have the resistor on the Solenoid bog posts, it is attached to the yellow wires.

That Blue connector looks like the Bucket Harness Accessory power.

Listen for the buzzer when the cart slows down as that would be a different issue than the Speed Sensor.

If You have Contact Cleaner it would be a good idea to clean the Controller 16-pin connector to make sure it is making good connection.

The loose blue wire you speak of has nothing to do with your issue. It's exacly as Sergio said, an accessory wire for a headlight kit.

The plug on the speed sensor has given me some heartache in the past. That little red gasket looking doughnut prevent the plug from fully engaging, Have remove several plugs and butt connected the wires instead.

Just a thought or ?? When the carts slows down the pack voltage goes up. Does this lead more to the solenoid rather than the speed sensor?

OK Back together and test drove, The beeper does NOT sound when the cart goes it limp mode. The farther you go the longer it takes to recover. What is my next test? THANKS TO SERGIO AND DAVE

This is normal. Anytime you slow down, the battery power is going to rise because the load is reduced. This doesn't indicate an issue.

Have you done a continuity test on the motor to make sure it's not the problem? The fact that you say it often jerks and sometimes doesn't run at all sounds exactly like a motor problem.

have not checked the motor. Not sure how? Since I repaired the yellow wire connection at the controller plug the jerking and no go issue is gone. Now the cart goes and the slows down(limp mode) and the will speed back up the limp mode again.

Since the throttle signal on controller pin #2 yellow wire is now steady, Your latest description of the symptom sounds exactly what i described in post #7.

Remove the speed sensor and make sure the magnet is tight and not broken in pieces.

If the magnet is intact, replace the speed sensor with a good quality one from:

You can also get a speed magnet for another $24 if You want to increase the speed.
