Remove front leaf add shock

I was thinking of changing the all sport a arm front lift to a long travel kit. Looking at the a arm lift i was thinking can i pull the leaf out and add a coil over shock. I don’t think it would be to hard to fabricate shock mounts to the frame and it could easily be mounted to the a arm. Has anyone ever done this before. Could this work.

Really no one has any opinions on this. Is it becaus the a arms are to short i really think this is doable. I can get the shocks for practically nothing.

I don't think you have enough travel in the steering to do something like this. Would it work? Maybe. Would it work well? I doubt it. Long travel lift kits have much longer control arms than Double A-Arm lift kits. The tie rods on the steering box are much longer as well.
