That is a regen 2 controller, also tow/run switch.

Thank you Mr golf. I don't know much about those systems. Is it supposed to have a v glide?

Also, some wires have been cut at the motor. The thing runs fine although I would say a bit slow on takeoff.

I had a 99 and it had a v glide, someone may have bypassed the solenoid on the left. That involves the motor white wire. I think the stickers have a wiring diagram for it.

To bypass the regen solenoid, I just put both cables on one post, and unplug the speed sensor. That the solenoid with the resistor coils.
