Maybe somebody else can chime in, but it is my understanding that charger only works with the OBC.

Did you bypass the charger interlock? By make a connection between the white and blue wires of the 6 pin plug on the OBC. Use a paperclip and plug it into the holes that the white and blue wires are going to.

I did that too. Tried to plug the charger into the port and it came on and right back off. Like it was shorting out.

After reading our post, I seen a resistor on the solenoid. I don’t have one, is this a must?

That's normal. It goes thru a power on self test. It should have came right back on?
