Default Help: Dual Action vs Stock Springs (Pictures)

I just received new dual action springs SPN-2032 for my 2003 DS, and compared to the old, the new springs actually have less of an arch in them then the old stock spring.

Is this normal?

For testing purposes, I held a ruler next to each as I stood on them, and the new dual actions went down further than the stock ones. I was actually hoping to get a 1" lift out of these, but it seems these will actually lower the cart?

I'm guessing you don't weight what a cart weighs. Your weight on the stock spring doesn't compress it as much as just static cart weight. Your weight on the dual action would not be enough to press it into the "overload" leaf.

My cart is also missing 300lbs of batteries. I have a lithium setup. Dual action did not net lift for my application.

Is it normal design for the dual action to have less of an arch?

Yep, less arch+more leafs= better ride and weight capacity without more lift.

Not to re-direct this thread......but did your dual action springs make a big difference in the ride? Softer I assume?

If you need an inch of lift in the rear you can make some longer shackles. 2 inches longer should give you an inch of lift.
