Default Going to look at a 2016 precedent....new to electric carts

I just sold my gas yamaha cart and now in looking at electric. Dont know much about them. Going to look at a 2016 precedent the first part of the week. Has newer batteries. New 6” lift with 14” wheels & tires. Anything I should be aware of or questions I should ask the seller?
I plan to do a few mods eventually to increase speed and torque.
Any info would be much appreciated!

2016 is a good year because in 2014/2015 Club Car removed the OBC (On Board Computer) which used to control the dumb charger and changed to a smart charger instead. The Club Car charger for 2015 and beyond is the ERIC charger which looks like the one in the picture. Batteries are very important and expensive and the price should reflect how good the batteries are. Take a multimeter with you and check the voltage of the pack and the individual batteries. Fully charged they should be something like the table. Note how little the voltage has to change for the state of charge to have dropped dramatically.
