Powerdrive 3 Onboard charger
I have a Powerdrive 3 Charger for my club car Villager 48V golf cart. I installed it as an onboard charger to replace a Powerdrive 1 that had been installed previously as an onboard charger. I think I have to bypass a mechanism that prevents the cart from moving when the charger is connected (which is always now that I installed it onboard), but I’m not sure what I need to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Powerdrive 3 Onboard charger
You would need to install the AC Interrupt Circuit board into your charger. Because the PD3 was never available as an on-board model, there's not enough room in there to install one. The OBC will not allow your cart to run while the charger cord is plugged into the cart. Because you're hooking it up to the battery pack permanently, the OBC always sees the cart as being "Plugged in". The AC Interrupt board will allow the car to run only when the AC power is disconnected from the wall. When the AC cord is plugged into the wall, it will trigger the solenoid lockout and the car will not operate while charging.
