I think I fried my cart, need help.
Ok I'm an idiot...
I was going to attempt to hook up a charge gauge on my cart and I accidentally had the red wire on my volt meter hooked up to the wrong port. ( I shouldn't have even been messing with a volt meter because I barely know what I'm looking at) Anyway... I was trying to see if there was a lead from the battery that I could steal to power the gauge and there was a red and a black wire on the factory harness that terminates on the left side just under the orange battery light. I put the black volt meter lead on the black wire and the red volt meter lead on the red wire and POP! got a nice little spark and now nothing works... now with the key on, it won't go fwd or reverse and the lights no longer work... however, when I plug in the ERIC charger, the orange light will flash 3 times and start charging but no audible beep when the light flashes... What did I destroy? Thanks in advance, I've lurked on here for quite some time and have received a ton of info from you all! Thanks again. Oh it's a 2015 Club Car president JE1550 |

Where are the fuzes? I didn't see any. ( you can tell I don't really tinker on these much)

If your cart is lifted, check the 15A fuse that is located by the controller. If not lifted, you'll have to access it through the panel on the back of the body. I'll post a shortcut to another discussion that gives better detail.

Thanks! I really appreciate it... I'll work on it this evening. Hopefully will just find a blown fuze!

I'm guessing the fuse will fix tour issue. I had the exact same issue before with he same feeling that I tried my cart too. The 15A fuse was the issue. I hope it's the same easy fix for yourself.

SOO much thanks to you guys! I'm happy to say that after just a few " damits" I found the fuze that was infact blown. I replaced it and she's alive again! THANK YOU!

Your first fix feels good, doesn't it?

Yes.. I'm pretty happy now thanks to the help here! I fixed it and then accomplished what I initially wanted to do. The charge gauge is working as advertised:) So now I need to figure out my tire/lift configuration.
