Default 2004 club car ds not running

No solenoid click

I did notice the resister on solenoid was extremely hot.

Not sure where to start

You should be getting 48 V at the solenoid small terminals when the pedal is pressed. Do you have that?

Sounds like the controller has failed...When the controller fails it is always drawing power so when the solenoid is open power passes through the resistor and not the solenoid causing it to get hot....

It could also be that the solenoid is bad. In that case the resistor will also receive excess current.

As soon as connect the batteries the resister get burning hot.

How do i test

As lukel stated..Put your meter on the 2 small terminals of the solenoid...Key on in forward..Press the go pedal...You should see pack voltage on your meter...

I would also suspect if the resistor gets burning hot when the batteries are connected you have more than one issue.

Can you tell us more about your drive system?
