2000 1/2 DS Problem
About 6 months ago I had problem when you stepped on the accelerator you would get as best I can describe a chatter and the cart would vibrate and you would inch forward. I found a brush out of the brush holder I replaced Brushes and springs. After installing motor still had the chatter I replaced the solenoid that solved the problem also replaced the other solenoid ran beautiful for 6 months. Last week on my way to the pool I stopped when I started back to the chatter! I turned switch to tow I would here the click then hit the accelerator I would move forward about 20 ft and stop I would turn switch to tow and back on another 20 Ft after about 3 times I got it back home yesterday I took it for a little run not far from home worked perfectly today back to chatter! Battery's are 2 years old and charged. I would appreciate any input MCOR?
Thanks in advance Ken |

2000 1/2 DS Problem
I am currently troubleshooting a similar issue on my 2002 DS and found a bad battery (only 5.9 volts from an 8 volt battery). I have not replaced the battery yet, but taking 1 step at a time, that is my next move.
My battery pack voltage is 48 on a 48 volt cart. |

Re: 2000 1/2 DS Problem
Do a load test on each battery to eliminate a bad battery....Put your meter on each battery and take it for a ride...An 8v battery should not drop below 7v when under load... If all good and all cables and connections look good, I would check the brushes in the motor again since that solved your problem originally...

Re: 2000 1/2 DS Problem
Movin- On Thanks for your input it is not the battery's or the brushes replacing the brushes on the first go round did not solve the problem replacing the solenoid did. This is an intermittent problem I suspect a control type issue. looking for help
