On/Off Switch on all the time
Not sure how long it's been like that, went to move the cart, 2002 36v , it does not have a run/tow Switch ,yesterday, forgot to turn key on but hit the pedal and it runs in both forward and reverse. Guess not really a issue unless it causes a draw off the batteries or cause any other issues you could fill me in on.
Thanks |

Re: On/Off Switch on all the time
You can easily pull the front panel off just by loosening the screw in the passenger glovebox, and make a little jumper cable to bypass the key on switch.
We occasionally did it at golf courses I worked at on the service carts that were never used by customers - maybe thats it? |

Re: On/Off Switch on all the time
If that switch has shorted out (and you will know by probing both the Hot and Cold side with your meter), then I would definitely replace it as that is your safety interlock. Very much needed for children or random people coming by.
If the switch is backfeeding, then someone has improperly wired something into the line downstream and it is backfeeding voltage. |
