Default 48V reducer to 12V??

#103470902 16amps max
seems simple enough,but want to make sure on Polarity..?
Only has two black leads total
one either goes to pack plus or minus?obviously other is to loads.thanks

That is a 16v->12v reducer, return it as it is no good for the pack in the long run.

Correct but the positive side for the accessories needs to come from +16v battery post ( on a 6 x 8v setup).

That type of reducer will discharge two batteries unevenly, do not try to use it as a 48v->12v reducer or you will burn the 12v accessories.

can you give me a brand and part# for the 48v->12v reducer please?
unfortunately this is for state owned cart (2000yr CC j0041946875) and we have to get parts through local state vendor/contract here in California.thanks

Just ask them what kind of 48v to 12v reducers they sell, the best have a low current "trigger wire" that connects to the key switch and turns the 12v ON/OFF with the cart key switch.

There are lots of brands out there, redhawk, madjax, etc it just depends what your local place carries.

Either do as Sergio said or you can get one posted from our site sponsors (try Dave at Revolution Golf Cars or Scotty at Carts Unlimited). They both sell good quality 5 wire reducers at good prices.
