Uncommon Keyed Switch for Transporter 4
I just purchased a 2011 Club Car (Gas) Transporter 4.
This vehicle is destined for an island in Belize and I would like to locate an 'uncommon' keyed switch but NO ONE seems to have one or be able to offer any suggestions. I have doene this already to both Precedents and DS models, but they use a 4 terminal switch. This uses a 3 position, 5 terminal switch (Club Car 1018264-01) I have wondered if I could use the 5 terminal switch for the Carryall/XRT which is Club Car 1020447-02, Indak 102049702, or Midiya 31973K4183; which while not specifically 'unique' is less frequently encountered than the DS common-key (Club Car 1012505). Has anyone ever encountered this problem.? I can't believe that someone hasn't produced a uniquely keyed version of this switch for the Villager/Transporter. |

You could use a remote control to switch one of the main wires open / closed.
This would work on almost any switch 12-72 volt. Do an Internet search. |

Re: Uncommon Keyed Switch for Transporter 4
Club car does make an uncommon switch for the key start vehicles. I don't have a current part number, but the guy who would know is David Hicks at Revolution Golf Cars. He's an authorized Club Car Parts retailer so he can look up anything Club Car makes.
There are other options that require some modification to the dash. Or You could mount a unique keyed power switch in most any other place on the cart to kill power to the dash switch. Something like this should be able to handle about 40 amps at 12v. Barrel key switch |

Thanks Fairtax4me.
You would think they make one. I can't be the first person with such a need. I've emailed David as you suggested. |

Dave, can additional keys be ordered with the purchase of that uncommon terminal setup?
