92 d's 36 volt slow up hills
I have a 92 ds electric 36 volt, customer installed an emp 3.8 hp motor with stock controller. Runs great on flat ground but he has fairly steep hills and it won't climb at all. It has 2014 t105's, tested and are in great condition. When starting off in forward the voltage drops to between 28 and 30 volts then stays a steady 34 to 35 volts, with brake held down and accelerator pushed about 1/4 way down the voltage drops again but will come up to around 34 volts while braking. I also added 4 sec battery cables the original 6 sec were getting very hot, no heat at all on any cables now. Any ideas???

Sounds suspiciously like weak/bad batteries. A fully charged pack is 38.4 volts. 35 volts is severely discharged.
