Question 94 Marathon - Quick Start, Now It Won't Move

Believe it's a 94 Marathon... Complete makeover (paint, tires, voltage reducer for lights and radio, new bats, etc.). One BIG problem though... I just can't get it to run properly.

Manu Code - G1390
Serial Number - 597971

At first when I put new batteries in it, the cart just about jumped and literally screeched the tires (very short screech, but it did it). Checked the wiring, swapped the motor, ped, curtis speed cont, solenoid, F/N/R selector & key switch with old spares off another cart. Should point out that I don't know if any of the original or parts off the junk cart are really any good.
What I have noticed is:
Reverse alarm works,
Solenoid clicks (both of them) and,
The large resistor on the solenoid gets REALLY hot.

Followed the wiring diagram from roady89 on post: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-diagrams.html

Got a cheap digital voltage meter and checked the batteries... good to go.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

Trace and confirm your wiring using this diagram. A Marathon controller cart will have two sets of three batteries on either side. Are you sure you have two solenoids?

No... I only have one solenoid. The other parts are spares.
I'm pretty sure I followed the diagram. What you posted is the same one I've found.
I DID have the white wire from the FNR Micro Switch going to the same postive battery post as the solenoid, charger +, and red wire from the key switch. Changed that to the other side as shown in the picture. Other than that... the only wire in question is on the same micro switch... not sure if I have the white & black wire in the correct position behind the FNR selector. Tried swaping around but it didn't make a difference.
