Default Columbia utility cart brakes bet with gear oil

Hello, I am working on a columbia utility vehicle. Has anyone ever changed an axle seal before? This one is leaking bad into the brake shoe area and drum. I will try to post a couple pics. Just wanna know how to get to the seal. One pic looks like the seal is in the center section.

The axle seal inside the diff case IS doable.

The piston seals for the wheel cylinder are doable:

Usually the pistons are rusted inside and you end up replacing the complete axle shaft itself which comes with all the brake parts and bearings preattached. Most start with trying to do a wheel cylinder rebuild then end up just going with the shaft. It's predominantly the driver's side.

Right Axle CVG760986:https://evtechnicalservices.com/onli...6-82994-13-nkl

Also make sure the axle tube itself is sound, the early models tended to develop hairline cracks near the flange, Columbia developed a reinforcement for them to prevent flexing later on. (Bulletin attached for the kit)

If you replace the shaft, it's a lot easier than it may look. To do both sides takes me about 3 hours and that includes bleeding the brakes.
