Default Engine Keyway?

Was my engine suppose to come with a key in the shaft? I dont have a key on the shaft and no key came with the clutch so it just spins around on the shaft. Is this something I have to make?

Hardware store should have key stock. They should even have them in
different lengths. they should also have woodruff keys (the half moon).
