Default Yamaha Drive: Machined Clutch?

Ok I am going to be putting a rear seat on my 2009 Yamaha Drive. The suspension will be stock, but I am going to go with 12" rims and low profile tires. Do I need to machine the clutch so that it will climb the hills, or is that only necessary when golf carts are lifted with bigger tires?

TIA for your help.

i would try it first see if you need it . if you machine the rear clutch i would get a little wider belt like plowmans sells

Does CCP have YDR clutch kits? You might want to talk to Don at Plowmans. He can set you up with what you need.

What kind of hills are you talking about? Yamaha makes a 6 passenger car that climbs hills (of the street variety) with little problem.
