Hey Mikes M.T. I'm only trying to go from resistor 36V to solid state, The pics are what I got done today, Its my first build attempt and its not going as easy as I thought it would (Thankful for this site !). It was only supposed to be a SMALL mod to make my pit cart quicker. Mike

The controller is SUPPOSED to be 0-5K. If it reads 7K will that mean more top end ?

LOL !!! NO. It might mean the controller will shut down if it thinks you connected it to the wrong type of potentiometer You can put a physical stop on the travel somehow / somewhere.... Mine is doing the same I am gonna give it a try like that. I did read somewhere that alot of pots put out too many ohms and that some carts have been running for years without harm from boosted ohm readings at the throttle pot...This was from what seemed to me to be a reliable mechanic source. Anyway did you find out what order the little wires go on at the controller?

It "might" shut down. Chances are it will be fine because I have never heard of one shutting down for being over 5K.

Riorat, Its just gloss white with vinyl graphics because its easy to change, In fact its already different because of our sponsor graphics. (Miccosukee Indian Gaming) I just put the boat pic in there because I dont have new pic of cart graphics but they match the boat (white green blue)
