Default 2004 DS 36V Slow uphill

I bought a 2004 Club car DS about a year ago. It has always been very slow going uphill. It's not the batteries. Best I can determine from numerous searches and talking to other owners is as follows:

1. It was made for flat land operation.

2. It has a weak motor.

3 It would cost more to upgrade it than it would to sell it and buy a better one.

Once again "its not the batteries".

Any Ideas on how to improve the performance or, is 1. 2. 3. dead on?

Thanks in advance - great forum

Welcome slow lane....1,2,&3 are pretty much right on . Provided batteries are really good and properly charged, cables are proper size, clean and tight? 36v carts just hate hills.

Thanks for the reply scottyb.

I'm either going to trade it, sell it or get used to it and just not get in a hurry.

Put a brand new set of Trojan T105's in it yesterday. Runs great!!!!! Still a bit slow uphill but I can live with it. Thanks
