85 with a thud coming from the motor

i have a 85 ds club car that is making a thud noise , does not make the noise if your not pushing the pedal .

this cart has 4 solinoids on it , i went through 2 of them , a cc dealer worked on it , and now the motor is making this noise and it seems like it is stuck in high gear , it has no power , but has speed on the flats.what do you think.
