I have a 2004 cc precedent

code 4,stock tires,rear seat:wot-19mph
today ordered parts from everything carts:
22x11x12tires and rims
heavyduty rear springs
rear mirror
led charge meter
got a call earlier from everything carts and they said they were out of
22x11x12 sarhara classic tires so they gave me the 23x10.5x12 desert cross country tires.
the brown truck is supposed to be here monday but I wish it would get here friday to give me something to do this weekend.
plan on taking pics of height & gps before and after each step.

Made some changes to first post...

My Precedent with windshield in all cases (folded down),
stock with 22" tires stock on speed code 3 = 18.9mph
stock with 22" tires stock on speed code 4 = 20.3mph (sometimes 21 mph)
with $300 PQ motor & 22" tires without wires or controller upgrade = 26.5 normal and 28.1 best WOT

The speed code 4 you will have to get from a Club Car dealer, but if you opt for the PQ motor you will not need the speed code 4 because somehow the PQ motor will get your speed up to around 22 mph (estimate) no matter what speed code you have in the cart. Also, the speed code from a dealer will cost somewhere between $100 to $150 depending on the dealer and probably their attitude for the day.

If you are going to upgrade the Motor or Controller dont pay for speed code 4 Upgrade,
Until you get your new hardware installed !
The reason I say this is ,
many Moters like PQ and some controllers trick the Cart into
speed code 4 without having to pay CC $100 ++ .

It's tuned for 17mph (code 2 I guess ?)

Can you tell me more about tuning these and that PQ motor you got?
That sounds like the best $300 spent!!

Thanks
Jay
Instead of spending $100 to $150 for a Code 4 upgrade from a CC dealer just spend $300 TOTAL for a PQ IQ Motor FIRST! Take 1 hour to install it and see if you are happy with what it can do. Later you can always install an Alltrax 400 and upgraded wires if you want a burst of torque from the hole which will complete the package.

Right now I am VERY HAPPY with just the motor upgrade which was $300 well spent. There was a 2005 street legal Precedent at Ft. Wilderness with 22" tires with code 4 that I raced from a dead stop. I pulled away from the start, (slowly but consistently,) and kept it up till I was doing 26.8 to his 21.5 mph, (my GPS to his GPS.) I believe that if I had an Alltrax 400 along with 4 ga wires I would have leaped ahead from the start instead of a slow but constant pull away.

6:1 gears finally installed! An accomplishment of mammoth proportions for me mechanically. Besides a few basic problems it was pretty easy.

Just got back from a test drive and my top speed went from 20.8mph to 26mph. Very disappointed to say the least. So I checked the voltage across my 6 1/2 year old batteries and it read 48.4v

ok, ok, ok, who said it was time to dust off the wallet again and pony up some lettuce for new batteries? Ox or Scuba? Yup. Well, I'll get those new batteries and we'll see what numbers I can run. I am hoping for a drastic improvement (32-35mph). That was my goal from the beginning. At least it all works.
