2004 Club Car IQ maintenance
Guys
I took the plunge and bought a 2004 Club Car IQ Electric cart with 6" Jake's lift, new tires and batteries. See attached pics. Since I know nothing about these carts, and I have no owner's manual, can you tell me what I should be doing as far as regular maintenance or servicing? Thanks! |

Re: 2004 Club Car IQ maintenance
easierst thing is to buy youself a service manual....wsorth every penny.............other thanb that themost imporrtant maintence is by far the batteries and cables........they should be checked on at least a monthly basis or every 2 weeks if you can but its very important to keep them maintained........................................ ...

Or... have your local CC dealer order you one... it may be a few bucks more... But, as Tom said... "worth every penny!" Quick question Sampson... your avitar... Is that Sampson... the gorilla from the Milw. Co. Zoo??? (he used to fling sh*t at the window! ) |

Thanks for the info Lockman1. Good looking cart bye the way.
My avitar is my friend, Ricky Chimpanzee, who lived with me for several years here at the animal sanctuary. Attached is another pic. |

Re: 2004 Club Car IQ maintenance
Coincidentally I, too, am a newbie who just bought a refurbed ClubCar (2005) and followed someone's advice on getting a manual, just yesterday in fact. I found it at Mountaintop Golf Carts in NC: the url is http://www.golfcarcatalog.com/ - they have quite a list of available manuals and ship quick!!
I read that only manuals published by Club Car are legal, so that's what I got. Hope this is helpful to you. Russ |

Re: 2004 Club Car IQ maintenance
The 04 m & s manual is not all you need. It has absolutely nothing in it about the electrical system. You also need to get the IQ m & s supplement, for the electrical system.

Re: 2004 Club Car IQ maintenance
You are absolutely correct Jim. Much to my surprise BOTH manuals were included when the package arrived. What I'm now looking for is the most basic: the Owners Manual. For you experienced cart people it's probably a no-brainer, but I need some simple (?) answers like what it means / what to do when the battery light keeps going on and off...and the batteries are fully charged.
Perhaps someone can let me know where to find one OR what it means & how to fix it. Thanks Russ |
