body lost its shape?!?
Hey guys i had my cart painted a few months ago and i am just getting around to putting it together and the sides of the piece that covers the batteries and you sit on on my 1982 ds are bowed out like 1 1/2 or so on each side? Now what do i do? any tips if i squeeze it together i am afraid i will crack it!

Not any help with your question but....I was talking to a painter today (as I'm looking to get mine painted) and he told me to "install" it back on the frame as soon as possible to let it cure in it's fianlly resting spot....

its on cart and sides are bowed out a lil to far to bend back with out cracking something! Can some on show where the body lines and bolts up on this thing i got it when it was in pieces so not positive where the sides go anyways?

The body and the paint should be semi flexible. Set it out in the sun for a couple of hours before you do the install.
It should be fine if only 1 1/2" bowed. Don't the two sides fit in a groove? Can ya post any pics? Wait, I'll go ask my mother in law, hers is bowed out at the bottom also! Bawahahaha!!!! |

To help warm it cover it with black plastic let set for several hrs., makes it warmer than just setting in sun.

hmm not sure bout the groove i will go look tomorrow at it. And as far as ur mother in law LMAO! thats funny! I will try it on sunday that my next day of if the cart was more together i would try to take it to work to work on it ..... Any way can you guys check in my other topic and answer any ?S in there about the wiring and any pics? Thanks guys. Worked on to sailboats today put a tonneau cover on and fixed air ride on a kodiak.... oh yeah and finally put my escalade luggage rack on my denalixl ! WHOO HOOO sunday is golf cart day! anybody ever put a ez go roof on a cc ? They look sleeker and i can get on real cheap!
