Need a little more info. Like what voltage, what type of electronics (speed controller, 5 bank solenoid, or resistor coil).

Then we can suggest some upgrades.

36v or 48v? It should be a controller cart.

I would say that the first thing would be to upgrade the speed controller and all cables to 4 ga. The higher amperage speed controller will give more torque and maybe another couple mph's, but it will definitely increase the torque to help on hills.

I would recommend a 400 amp (or more if you like) controller, 4 ga wires, and a solenoid to match the amperage of the controller.

If you can get a picture of your motor of some more information from it that will help to make sure you are going in the right direction.

4 gauge cables on the batteries alone is not enough. You really want to do all the large cables in the whole cart. Running 4 ga. on batteries and leaving 6 ga. on controller and motor just causes a bottleneck at the smaller gauge cables. If it is a controller type cart...the larger controller suggested earlier allows more amps to be delivered to the motor--equalling more torque/power, not necessarily more speed. I think that is what you want right, more power not more speed.
