I just got this cart and I am trying to charge it. the charger reads 9 amps and is going down very slowly. How long should it take to charge the batteries?

Re: Charging 95 DS 48 volt
It could take up to 10 hours to charge a fully depleted set.

Re: Charging 95 DS 48 volt
But just so you know if you have a Club Cart Charger with a OBC it will turn itself off after 16 Hours if Batteries are still charging.

Re: Charging 95 DS 48 volt
It is a charger, not a maintainer. It will stay off until it is disconnected and reconnected

Re: Charging 95 DS 48 volt
Just a FYI for all ,
If the cart you own is a 48 Volt DS Power drive system and it has a Power Drive charger. They are designed to be left connected to the cart , the Charger will come on every XX days check the charge and then charge if needed. I can't remember the XX Days nor the determining Factor on how low the pack Voltage must be for the chatger to turn on. Help on anyone who has the charger manual ! |

Re: Charging 95 DS 48 volt
Well I bought a service manual and I have determined that the golf cart is smarter than I am. The cycle is 15 days. It will shut off after 16 hours or full charge. It has a light to tell you how it feels. Not bad for a 95 model. Thanks for all the info guys!!

My bad! I didn't think that feature was on the 1995 models? Thanks Garry
