1983 DS Steering gear box

Anybody have any ideas on where I can find a steering gear box ?
Everybody shows one for a 1984 but not for 1983 ?
Is this gear box rebuildable ?

Im not sure if they are rebuildable or not, but i recently took a early 80's cc to a local repair shop and they were able to fix my steering for under $100.00. Now the wheel has less than 1 inch play and is very easy to turn even with my 23" wheels, so i assume that they are rebuldable. sorry i cant be of more help, im new to this stuff.

Thanks for the information.
i called Mikes Toys and he said the bearings are available but thats it.
He told me to convert it to rack and pinion but you have to change everything.

Since your your in Burleson , Where did you take it ?

I'm up in Flower Mound and have the same problem with my 82 DS - see above post. I think my gearbox is ok, I just need the metal mount the box bolts onto if either of you change out to rack. Let me know what you find out a the shop and which one you go to.
