looking for a pic of a 88 club car.
I know there are a couple of you all on the forums that have this year cart from doing some topic searches. I was wondering if any of you have body pics of your carts?
Thanks in advance. Galloway |

Nick the body you are looking at was unchanged from 1984-88 it was fiberglass with add on rear fender flare.... 1989 brought the plastic body and resistor/V-glide drive system THe white one is an 84 the blue is 85 the gold is 86 an 88 would look identicle to these....

Re: looking for a pic of a 88 club car.
Thanks scotty.
Those were the money shots I was looking for. I am going to look at one tonight and wanted some idea of what I was going to look at. I am loving the fact it is a glass body. Means if I wreck it i can redo the body. Just for reference. How long will the electronics in this year cart hold up? Forever? It was a golf course cart. |

Re: looking for a pic of a 88 club car.
They are right about at their limiit now.... The cart uses 5 solenoids for speed selectors #1-5 make and break contact each time you push the gas to the floor... #1 has already fired 1 million times each solenoid is activated by a seperate micro switch. They too have been busy the last 20 years.... You can replace them all less than $150 if you shop way around It is a proven and reliable system. This cart will do well for a solid state 48v upgrade also
Crawl under it and look at the battery trays ..... they rot. |

Re: looking for a pic of a 88 club car.
ya, I have read most of the other post on this system and what to look for on the carts etc.
The guy told me completely sanded the body and everything and repainted it etc. So I am hopeful he redid the battery tray and such. Look for the pics soon. |

Good luck! Look up at the front Delta tower , it's made of steel and the shocks, steering gear, and A arms all connect to it I have seen them weak from rust.... good thing is they are a bolt in piece of subframe
