G2 Won't go into reverse

My yamaha g2 wont go into reverse. I've tried adjusting the nuts on the cable alll the way both ways yet still cant get it into reverse. Before i completely lost reverse it was realy hard to shift between forward and reverse because i had to have it that way to get it into reverse without grinding the gears when i hit the gas. Im not sure if the cable snaped but doubt it because the cable seems imposible to move. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It just needed some WD40 on the ends of the cables, but its very hard to move from forward to reverse it feels like the handle is going tosnap realy soon what can i do for this? the shifter leaver is bending. The only way i can switch gears via the lever is if its almost impossible to move the lever. Any advice?

spray it down then take it apart and clean it up and put it back on

Now i have it so i cant adjust the cable any more(ran out of thread on the adjustable cable end) and now i cant get it into reverse. Any advise?

Im realy tierd of pushing the cart now and realy want to fix it soon has anyone been though this with theirs to? do i need to rebuild the rear end? Or replace cables? What can i do to fix this problem? Any ideas of where this problem might be originating from? Any help greatly appriciated please!

Do you have any grease in the rear end? Disconnect the cables and shift by hand to see where the binding is first. It is hard to troubleshoot when there are too many unknowns! More input!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be time for new cables but hard to tell...could you post some pics?
