Default Opinion : how to sell basic cart

I picked up a white 2004 Club Car DS gas that I've since decided to not keep. (rather put money towards a 6 seat cart).

It's a basic gas that's fresh off the course. What's you opinion on prepping to sell...

Just sell it as a basic cart (no upgrades just a bath) or do some simple upgrades (wheels/tires, lights, simple engine mods) to make it more marketable.

IMO it is very hard to get back $ spent on upgrades. Just make sure it is mechanically sound and clean it everywhere like you are taking it to a car show. Shiny sells.

Bought mine as it was how it was, dirty nasty eghhh...

I would do a tune up, clean it up, and list it on all the social sites, even this one.
Someone will pick it up IF the price is right !!

Dont want it ?? drop it off at my place i will use it :)

List it as a "blank canvas" ready for whatever it's new owner wants to do to it. By all means clean it up, maybe service it but otherwise leave it alone. No way for you to know what they might want to end up doing to it.

Too bad TX and PA are so far apart because your machine is the sort of thing I'm seeking; basic, no frills, no lights, lifts or stellar paint job. I'm more concerned about mechanics than aesthetics. If I'm able to eventually procure a cart to take to Oshkosh camping in summer I'd prefer it to not be a showpiece.

The parking of bicycles, motorcycles, scooters and golf carts during that event is a sight; things jammed in every which way. We rented a cart there last summer and I was hoping it wouldn't be a shiny new one over which the rental agency fussed. Turned out to be a mom-and-pop operation and our cart was a beat-up Yamaha. I was able to shoe-horn it with impunity into parking spots that'd make owners of some of the beautiful carts on this website cringe.

Best Regards,

Tom

Got a photo? There are huge differences in 14 year old carts. Would need to see it to give advice.

Looks good from the one photo. Also seems to be a fair price.

I'm with the others: clean it, ensure everything operates as it should, and list it.
