Carryall leaving trail of smoke on ground
My carryall efi ex40 is smoking, it leaves a trail of smoke on the ground. What are some things I can do or try to fix it on my own before taking it the the club car dealer.

Re: Carryall leaving trail of smoke on ground
I thought there might be gas in the oil. So I changed it. Oil level seems to be the same when I check it. I pulled a trailer around my yard and going up a small hill I can feel it loosing power. It was smoking before I pulled the trailer

Re: Carryall leaving trail of smoke on ground
How new is your EX40 car? Because a customer had brought one to us early this year (around spring) it was a 2017, the original motor smoked like yours did and he bought a crate motor and did the work himself and fried the EFI system somehow, but he could have gotten the work done for free since until he worked on it himself, the car was still under factory warranty.

What color is the smoke? Black smoke might indicate too much fuel, White or gray smoke would mean burning oil. Color is important to track cause.
