Clutch question
On the drive clutch the belt does not go all the way to the top. I have the Red spring on the driven clutch.
Not running https://photos.app.goo.gl/9pTn5283ESyCHm7W6 Running high rpm https://photos.app.goo.gl/H7QypEqGp1q2KEdSA Belt https://photos.app.goo.gl/ygA456HtWB5tenjWA Is this normal or is something wrong... Top speed is abot 20mph. It pulls fine. |

Re: Clutch question
The red spring is too stiff and not allowing the clutches to shift completely. The belt is aftermarket, and less than desirable...

Re: Clutch question
Does the cart have larger tires? Are the secondary sheaves worn or "dished"? You can't go wrong with anything from Plowmans...Aftermarket crap from china is crap, from china...

Re: Clutch question
Not sure what cart, looks like a G16? Here are links to Plowman's parts. I would only run Yamaha belt, Plowman's, or Dayco HD. That red spring is too stiff and it's known for giving troubles. I'd talk to Don Plowman, he has various springs for different uses/carts. He'll get you fixed up. |

Re: Clutch question
I second giving Don Plowman a call. I recently put on his extreme performance kit and it has been a night and day difference.
The one thing I'll say is to pick up the phone and call...get him on the phone and explain your issue. He will absolutely help diagnose the issue by asking you questions and listening to what you say. No doubt he'll get you fixed up. |

If you just want a spring, then the OEM umax spring would be good for a lifted cart with larger tires... Slo's correct. I'd add GBoost to the belt list. |
