Default 1998 Yamaha G16 E

Need help trying to locate the problems with it. It has been parked for about 3years, a friend had it and ran over something and it died and they couldn't get it to restart. Bought from them when they put in a garage sale.

It now has 6 new batteries and soleniod (off the shelf standard 36 volt) Stop switch and solenoid working together, reads 36 volts. All wiring connections have been cleaned/replaced and reconnected correctly. Speed controller reads 36 volts with the key OFF from what I understand there should be no power reading unless the key is on and pedal depressed? Ok, key on, in forward still have 36 volts with pedal up or depressed (if I am touching the right ones, 1 barb on the left, 2 barbs on the right) barb on left with either barb on right is 36 volts. Don't know yet if the motor works are not yet, not getting any juice to it.

Any wisdom would be appreciated

Cool Re: 1998 Yamaha G16 E

Where do the wires on the controller box go? Whats inside the controller box?
This started out as a fairly easy project and has turned into trouble.

(3) Limit switch, key on 37.6v, key off .3v, pedal pressed .1, solenoid wires 37v with acc pressed [/B]

(4) Batteries test 6.3v each total 38.1v

I had a simular problem, the kids went four wheeling hit something and it wouldn't run again. Some one had jumpered out the run tow switch.

Mine is a Series cart and doesn't have a tow switch unless it is switch that Yamaha calls by a different name.
