Default There has to be a trick to this...

I can not get the rear end cover off to change the fluid. I took off the bolts. Tried some persuasion with a dead blow. Held my tongue different and the thing will not budge. I finely went with the screwdriver. I got it under the cover but it was just bending the cover. I stopped because I did not want to screw it up. It looks like clear silicone as a sealant.

Is there a trick? How do I get this thing off?

I use a stiff putty knife and just keep tapping it all around the cover and case.

Heat the putty knife red hot and slice the sealer.
