Default Power spring didnt seem to help!?

I have a yamaha g2 and just got the lift, tires, power spring, governor spring, jet kit, and new belt from cpp. Installed the lift and tires took the cart out drove it, came back installed the governor spring, took it out drove it seemed better. Then installed the power spring and took it out and didn't notice any real difference! I figured I wouldn't see huge gains but it won't even climb a little hill without almost dying! What else could be wrong with it?

Have you looked at clutch system articulation ?? Before starting, the drive belt should be at the very bottom of the primary and the very top of the secondary. This is low gear and where you'll the get highest torque. Make sure your clutches transition smoothly when going from low to high RPM. With a torque spring, your drive belt may not go all the way to the top of the drive clutch when you power up. Also, your drive belt may be worn and skinny, causing you to start higher up in the drive clutch. Good luck - RAY

I agree with Big. You should see a real noticable difference in low end torque. When I did my upgrade I also installed a machined sheeve and the hd belt. The new belt is a little beefier. Sounds like its either a worn belt or maybe a bad weight in the clutch. I have yet ti find something I cant climb with the power spring installed.

Start a maintenance program on the car. Read BGW on maint. Everything has to be working correctly, for performance parts to work.

Ya I ordered a new belt from cpp when I got everything else. Installed it right after I put the spring in.

Ok so its not the belt. Did you grease the rear sheeve and the clutch. Like Mike said regular maintenance will go a long way on these carts

Sounds like the rear clutch isn't opening up all the way. Or your drive clutch is possibly weak.

Ya I greased everything like guys on here had said and even changed the oil! With the primary clutch should you be able to move the outer sheave with ease?

The primary clutch movable sheave should move freely by hand (it's not spring loaded). Yours may need to be cleaned and greased or possibly you have some worn parts (kits of wear parts are available). With properly operating clutches and a torque kit your cart should pull like a mule. Keep at it, you'll get it sorted out. - RAY
