Re: Yamaha G29 CLUTCH QUESTION
Thanks for all this information, I know what to look for now, and I have sold six 2007 Yamaha drives in the last year so when time comes to service the clutch's, I can tell my customers what's involved. I will be thanking you in the future, all the way from the east coast of Canada.

Re: Yamaha G29 CLUTCH QUESTION
The old style team clutch does unscrew to get it apart.

Re: Yamaha G29 CLUTCH QUESTION
It's hard to find info on the team clutch, how to info. I believe it unscrews to get it apart, its not important because it seems its in good shape. these carts are not used like they are down in the lower parts of the USA, because of our weather the carts don't have the hours on them.

Re: Yamaha G29 CLUTCH QUESTION
Running different style front and rear clutches with the shorter belt could be a transaxle/input shaft disaster about to happen. And running the longer belt with the team secondary would result in very high rpms to achieve top speed.

But I would think that since the new primary is the same diameter as the original Team clutch, that you should be able to use the original Team secondary with the original size belt and it should work ok, unless there is something radically different in how the new clutch shifts. Of course there is a reason I'm mulling this over. I just bought a brand new secondary and belt last year, and if I have primary issues and need to replace it, I'd hate to have to replace the secondary again.... |

Re: Yamaha G29 CLUTCH QUESTION
Im interrested to know, give it a shot. Of course, test it on jack stands, and monitor rpms. Observe belt travel in rear clutch, and be sure belt is able to get to top of primary clutch (if not, belt lenght no good, trying to snap off input shaft).
