Camp, definitely replace all hoses on the car. I washed out the in tank filter,(flow through that filter is so slow, nothing is gonna get logged in it!) You can replace it if you like, but Smallblock says the new ones don't fit to well. Ask Jim Mason.

Rebuild kits are available, but expensive. Block got me one, cause I considered that would be better than a new one, for the long hall!!

I removed the tank and washed it out with Tide. Soaked the filter in tide as well. You can remove it then break the filter off the cap, if your going to continue to use the inline. Keeping the original cap and gasket should go back on with out leaks!!

I did this close to 5 yrs. ago, haven't had any problems yet!

This is exactaly what i do, break off the old one, for the reasons listed (new ones leaky). Plus, its so much easier to change a in-line filter, and you can see if there is junk getting in there.

Camp, I believe the in tank filter was way over developed, Last to long, and Yamaha couldn't sell enough of them to make any money. So I'm keeping mine as long as I possibly can!!

Cgtech would you recommend rebuilding fuel pump or replace? I would rather rebuild if possible? Unsure if I need to but would rather do it now than during riding season.
