g16 sputtering and backfiring
i have a g16 and it seems to be running rich? sputters and backfires whenever let off gas or stop.I cant seem to find any adjustments on carb ???? can someone pleae help???

I have a G14 pretty close to the same as your cart. When I first got mine it backfired too . I am no expert on this but have learned a lot on this forum and from working on mine too . There is an adjustment on top of my carb.. just an air mixture screw but does have some affect on it . Two things I would check is if the carb is closing all the way before the switch on gas pedal makes and if air breather top is sealed . Either of these could make it backfire.
I bought Plowmans performance kit which come with larger jets so now mine runs great with an open type breather . Some others will know more ... just my 2 cents |
