Default 48 volt Solenoid?

Looking to convert an old Melex to 48 volts, so I bought this solenoid described as a White Rodgers 48 volt heavy duty solenoid. Rec'd today and looking at the data sheet supplied it lists the coil VDC max as 48 volts, but lists the contacts VDC max at 36 volts.

Will this be adequate for the main contactor for 48 volts, or do I need to exchange it?

Am I overthinking this?

Thanks

Older Yamaha cars (electric, 48V, G16Es) and Bad Boy Buggies use this same solenoid. It's a definite 48V solenoid.

Those 586 series White Rogers solenoids just look tough, unlike some of those little black plastic toys. We use them on 24vdc Taylor Dunn up to 48vdc SPDT for heavy duty reversing contractors. Heck the the load life is rated at 50,000 cycles. You made a great choice....A Melex...COOL!

A Melex was my first time with a golf car. Resistor based, 36V car, identical to an early EZGO Marathon. Got me into work on these things.
