Default Ezgo txt 36volt locker rear end

I have an ezgo txt 36 volt golf cart. The rear tires are locked up. They will not turn even when the rear end is jacked up off the ground. I just change the solenoid and it ran great. A week later after changing the solenoid I went to use it and no luck. During this time it has been exposed to mud and water. I can hear the solenoid click when I press the gas pedal. Does anyone have some advice on were to start.

Do the rear wheels spin by hand when cart lifted? If wheels will not rotate when lifted there is a mechanical issue that has to be corrected. Anything from mud in brake linings/drums, frozen brake cables, rear wheel bearing failure, differential failure, any number of concerns. I would start at the wheel and work from there; they are going to have the most exposure to the mud. Also check to see that something did not jam the brake system. It is a mechanical operated by cables and something is possible locking the brakes by applying pressure at brake peddle and or cable system.... good luck

If you jack up the rear end and the back wheels will only spin opposite directions of each other, it is likely a motor problem.

I removed rear tires and tapped to hub on the driver side and the axel free up. Thanks for the advice.

Just a recommendation; I suggest removing the drum and perform an inspection on the brake components. Just remember to back off on the brake shoes before pulling the drum off the axle. If there is wear there is a lip that will catch on shoes and destroy the drum.
