Wow, now you've piqued my curiosity. What would be the proper BMS for these?

I'm looking to do something similar with 200AH batteries. My use case is a little different as I want the cart batteries to also be UPS for my house while it is plugged in.

This is the BMS I'm looking at https://www.chargery.com/BMS16Pro.asp
Hope that helps.

The BMS I've selected is listed below. Feel free to comment pro or con. Here are the reason I selected it. One, price. When I ordered it it was $95 total. Two, It can handle the full discharge current. It is rated for 200A constant current and 600A discharge overcurrent. Three it has the same Bluetooth interface I am used to using. Four It appears to have a built in current monitor for accurate SOC readings. Fifth it only has 2 connections and your all set. Comes with 4AWG wires. Well you still need to connect charger and 48-12v converter.

Nice find there Walter, I think I'll order one and give it a try on a future pack.

Several people have asked me why I am replacing my Leaf Batteries. The main reason would be safety. While I feel they are safe for me to use I feel that they may become a hazard if they wound up in a uninformed persons hands. Besides I've always wanted these LiFePo4 batteries. When I started looking to upgrade a few years ago these batteries were 2-3 thousand dollars and almost that much for shipping. Now I can afford them and I want to be the first kid on the block to have them.

I think I've heard enough; I'm following your lead. I'm willing to give them a shot at that price. On paper they look good. I may need some assistance to properly configure the BMS.
