Default How to identify Advanced vs GE motor

How do we tell what kind of motor we have (Advanced vs GE).

I have a 2008.5 precedent but I can't seem to find out.

My guess is the information on the ID tag would tell the origin.

Maybe somebody who knows CC precedents better will be along shortly.

GE is grey in color with a "Snap In" speed sensor. ADC is black with a speed sensor that looks like a "Top Hat"

Thromp..... did you ever determine what motor you have. I have a 2008.5 IQ and I think I'm having problems with my speed sensor and I'm trying to find out either how to build a FET version or buy a new one.

I found that you have to look at the motor itself:

GE has motor model number 5BC59jBS6365 or 5BC59JBS6390

Advanced has part numbers EJ4-4001 or EJ8-4001A
