Default 6-8 Volt against 4-12Volt ????

Hi

I realize that this issue has been beaten to death and the conclusion seems
to be that they both work and the difference between them for the average Joe is meaningless.

But if you had a choice in a 4 seater Precident (2008.5 and up) and both are approx the same age which way would you lean?

A CC auto dealer said if he was looking he would go with the 6-8 Volt.

For my purpose of driving around a community I doubt there is a difference,
but again there is not a straight stretch for miles, so it will be hills and ore hills.

Thanks

Alan

6-8 volts is always better...Your looking at volts when the true difference is the AMPs you get from having more batteries. Longer run time is one of the best reasons for doing this...

Hi

After searching through a lot of older posts it boils down to you are 100% correct period.

But to drive under 5 miles a day it really doesn't matter what battery or the set up or even the brand of cart they will all work. It all changes when you
decide you just don't want the plain Jane cart and then the fun begins.

will the factory charger for an rxv charge the 6-8volt batteries without throwing an error code? if so, when the time comes to swap out batteries i will change to 6-8volt setup.

It may be a good idea to post this question in the E-Z-GO forum.
