Default current "leakage" from bulbs?

So here i've got my cart all prettified, rebuilt, shook down, re-wired, etc - getting her ready for the first trip of the year....just needed to add a flasher for the LED bulbs I placed in my tail-lights. So I add the flasher and it works, but when applying the turn signal, i get a dimmer (but noticeable) flash from the opposite bulb. So that has me thinking the flasher is bad or something....

then last night I notice that when I apply the brakes with the headlights off, i get a dim, but noticeable light from them as well.

So i chase the wiring around the cart and there are no noticeable frays or anything touching that shouldnt....ultimately, if i remove both tail lights, the problem goes away (with the headlights anyway). So i guess my bulbs are the culprit - anyone seen this before? They are admittedly el-cheapo chinese LED's...

Troubles like this can sometime be caused by having a poor ground connection. Make sure your negative connections are all tight and also are connected directly back to the negative of your battery. Good luck - RAY

i know thats what it should be - just cant trace it down.

In more digging today:

Like i said, both LED lights removed - headlights wont come on when brake pedal is pressed.

went and grabbed some incandescent bulbs. headlights still come on, and they dont blink with turn signals (are LED compatable flashers arent backwards compatable with incandescents?)?

turned on the headlights - and everything operates and blinks as it should....
