no !.. main spring stays in same position under the axle
the extra springs go under main spring causeing the shock mount to go away from axle

There is more than one manufacturer making rear hd springs.
Until you have installed each brand and measured the height then it doesnt make sense to say no hd spring adds lift..
Especially when you have people here with firsthand knowledge saying otherwise.

Even with a 6" lift HD springs added another 1 1/2 to the rear.
Going to be lots rougher than stock springs.

HD springs or shackles and shock extenders WILL add lift and clearance to the body. However, the only way you are going to get more clearance from the rear end and axle is to use larger wheels and tires, to bring the rear end up. That may be what the argument is about, a simple misunderstanding of wording. If the body is the part dragging when loading, then a body lift would fix that. If the cart is hitting the rear axle/rear end, then lifting the body is kind of a moot point, right? If you are going to use larger wheels/tires then lifting the body is required for tire clearance.
