2012 precedent Excel controller question
I was told by the dealer that you can't change the speed codes without calling the manufacturer and requesting a code for the controller entered through the programmer. I just wanted to free up some speed if possible (13.5mph) right now. Is there any way around this, eventually I'll have to do something, maybe convert to IQ? I already have a working stock IQ controller from my 2008 precedent, I was getting about 19mph on it.

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
If you are only getting 13.5mph now, you are only set to Speed Code 2. Your CC dealer should be able to change it to SC3 (19.6mph) free of charge

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
Speed code 4 is 19.2mph.
Speed code 3 is 14.8mph, but it could be less depending on other settings (speed cal). Speed code 2 is 11.4mph. You are set for 3, the highest free speed code. If Your 13.5mph is accurate, You can have them check to make sure Speed Cal is set to 0. |

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
So it looks like speed code 2 is it. My dealer said he has to call club car to make any changes to the program, 2012 and up. Is this true or do I need to find another dealer? CC do you rent out your programmer?

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
Should just be the wiring harness. The motor is the same. Possibly the OBC as well, I can't remember

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
You would think they would make an Adapter cable LOL. I'd have to look at the schematic and see what is different, is a new harness expensive?

Re: 2012 precedent Excel controller question
CC part number for an IQ harness is 103374901. A quick internet check shows it runs about $100
