Default Top rod bearing yamaha g1

Got a new topend kit from buggies unlimited everything looked good went to put upper or top rod bearing in but it was tooo big, looks like i might have a 1982 modle??

The old bearing will go on the new rest pin and has ( just guessing ) the same play as does the new one?? Both old and new pistons measure same or real close..both rest pins measure real close also.

Looks like the outer diameter of the top bearing is just alittle bigger than the old one ..... any thoughts on where i can get a new upper bearing that is the correct diameter?????

The attached picture shows the new and old one you can see the bearing housing is thicker than the old one.

First place I would try is Plowman's Carts, they are in the site sponsors page.

the new bearing to me look more correct than the old one but thats just by this picture. weather or not its an 82 engine doesnt matter all G1's use the same engine cases, crank, rods and pistons. its the cylinder and head that are the difference on the 82
