Help with motor
Hey everyone, this is my first post and I need some help!
I just purchased a used Club Car gas golf cart today pretty cheap, but after tearing into the motor, it looks like a rebuild kit isn't going to help this one. Does anyone know where I can pick up a good used motor? I think it's the FE290 Kawasaki motor, but I'd have to verify. I need something soon, or if anyone knows of a good alternative I'd really appreciate it. This looks like the place to go for advice! Someone help! |

Re: Help with motor
I live in Moses Lake, Wa.
Will this clone bolt right to the factory mounts? Or do I need to modify it in anyway to make it work? Thanks for all your help! |

Contact Tom at cartpartsplus.com. He's one of out sponsors and can help you out. I would recomend his Big Block kit for your cart. Worth every penny.

Re: Help with motor
Okay I've called Tom regarding the big block, but I really need something that isn't so big since my kids will be playing with it too.
Does anyone know where I can get a stock FE290 motor? Or can someone help me with possibly putting in one of these Clone motors? How hard is it to install? Do I need to do a lot of modifications? And where do I go to find one? Someone on here has to know! HELP, HELP, HELP!!!! |

Re: Help with motor
Those stock CC motors are STEEP. I'd get a little 13 hp honda or something.

Re: Help with motor
Yeah, but will it bolt right into the factory motor mounts? What do I have to do to get it to fit?
Also, where does one get one of these 13hp motors? |
